Use These Tips To Build Muscle And Burn Fat

Use These Tips To Build Muscle And Burn Fat

Article by Russell Strider

To be able to build muscle and burn fat effectively, there are actually several changes that must take place, particularly with regards to your diet and physical exercise program. As you most likely already know, there are a variety of weight loss and muscle building systems, all of them promising the same dramatic result in as little time as possible. Although any one of those programs might work, your most effective option is to follow the fundamentals and obtain progress by means of a healthy course. Here are a few very basic but useful guidelines on ways to build muscle and burn fat:

Change to a High Protein Diet Plan

That is perhaps the hardest step for most individuals to adopt mostly because a lot of people are used to eating grease filled foods. The importance of eating appropriately really can't be measured, especially if you have every intention of losing as much excess weight as you possibly can while building muscle mass simultaneously.

A higher protein diet is one that is primarily composed of lean meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, along with a number of dietary supplements. In order to begin your switch to healthier eating habits, it's best for you to learn how to prepare and cook your own meals so that you can take away the guessing aspect in terms of calorie restrictions.

There are actually very specific diets that concentrate on foods that are best consumed when undergoing workout programs like muscle building and resistance training. The objective is to limit your intake of trans fats and unnecessary carbohydrates to make sure that the body is going to have a less difficult time burning off the additional calories.

Invest Time Doing Good Cardio Exercises

When people hear the words muscle building, they immediately assume that they should go directly to strength training and bench pressing a thousand times everyday. However, essentially the most vital physical exercise you need to not neglect is cardiovascular exercise since it paves the way to efficient weight management which can be essential in getting muscular definition.

As a way for you to ready your body to build muscle and burn fat, you could begin with 30-45 minutes on the treadmill each day prior to starting off on a muscle building plan. It's always a good idea to allow the body enough time to adapt to the new amount of stress it must handle for the next few months.

Pace Yourself Properly

There is certainly such a thing as over training and it is not good. As a way to successfully acquire muscle mass and maintain your ideal weight, you should understand when to take a breather and allow your body to recuperate properly. 2-3 days of training per week is sufficient for the first 3 months, after which you will be ready for much more demanding routines.

Please Don't Depend On Craze Diet Programs To Burn Fat

Article by Craig Clemmings

If you have tried to lose weight at some point in your life you have likely turned to some type of fad diet. It is hard not to fall for the lies and misconceptions brought forth by the diet industry. There is a lot of heavy marketing in this industry and with new diets and weight loss programs popping up everyday, it is very confusing.

The most common reason people turn to dieting is to try and lose a few pounds before some type of event like a wedding or a day at the beach. While there are a few quick fixes, they are not lasting and you will be back to your previous weight fairly quickly. This is because these are not sustainable methods. In order to truly experience lasting results you need something consistent.

You may use some type of supplements or fat burners to help get your metabolism going and burning fat, but you really just need to eat the right foods that naturally allow you to stay fit. Consistent activity is also very important. It not only helps you keep the weight off, but also it helps you stay in good health. Once you look at exercise and eating right as a long term investment in yourself, this shift in mind set makes it much easier to stick to your true objective.

A very common method of dieting seen in many weight loss plans is to eat foods that are low in carbs. Vegetables and fruits fit this category, but it is also important to increase the amount of protein you consume. Protein helps make you feel full, and it also helps your body kick into gear and starts the process of burning fat for energy.

Eating right is important if you want to lose weight and many people fall under the idea that you just need to eat less. This is not the case and just eating less can actually be worse. By starving yourself you will cause your body to shut down and it will try to store as much fat as possible. This is why it is critical to find a eating plan that allows you to get all the nutrients your body needs, but helps burn fat.

After you have taken up a diet that aids with weight loss, you need to find a way to be more active. This does not mean you have to go to the gym and run on the treadmill for hours. You can find fun activities that you look forward to. Finding social activities are good because they allow you to forget the time and just enjoy the activity of those you are with.

Once you change your diet and you start to become more physically active you will notice the benefits right away. You will have more energy and your mood will greatly improve. Your health is very important if you want a high quality of life. Many diseases and health complications can easily be avoided by adapting a more healthy lifestyle.

What is the Best Way to Burn FAT?

What is the Best Way to Burn FAT?

Article by Machelle Lee

We used to think that cardiovascular training was the quickest and most effective way to shed unwanted pounds. Aerobics, jogging, swimming, running and biking were the main activities to turn to when we wanted to slim down. The idea was that when you perform low level aerobic exercise your body relied on calories from fat. Sounds good, right? Well, there were a couple of major limitations with this method...

First of all you only burn fat calories while the aerobics are performed. Ifyou do twenty minutes, then you only burn for twenty minutes; if you do two hours, then you only burn for two hours.

Secondly, if you are overzealous with aerobics your body actually eats away at lean tissue, leaving you with lowered calorie requirements. Ever wonder why you eat the same amount but still put on pounds? A loss in lean tissue will do that to you every time.

Lucky for us, we live in a time of great scientific discovery with tools and statistics that give us the cutting edge in our quest for a slimmer, sexier body. And science has given us the solution for optimal F.A.T. B.U.R.N.

The Solution for optimal F.A.T. B.U.R.N is: Resistance Training

You have probably heard about the many benefits of resistance training.

Here are just a few:

1. Increase in muscle strength2. Injury prevention3. Improved bone density

Here are the two reasons that resistance training is the most effective way to B.U.R.N. F.A.T.

1. Oxygen DebtNow I know debt isn't usually a word that we enjoy...but in this case I'm sure you will agree that it's a great thing. Resistance training puts your body into oxygen debt which means you will B.U.R.N. F.A.T. as you recover from your workout. And this effect can last quite awhile - studies have shown an increase in calorie burning for up to three days following a resistance training workout.

2. Lean Tissue Burns More CaloriesThe other way that F.A.T. B.U.R.N. is accomplished with resistance training is through an increase in your resting metabolism. Lean tissue (muscle) requires many more calories each day than fatty tissue. In fact, one pound of muscle burns 30-50 calories each day at rest - compared to a measly 9 calories per pound of fat.

When you perform resistance training exercises your body composition will change to contain more lean tissue, thus resulting in extra calories burned while you sleep.

Build Muscle And Burn Fat - Become Physically Fit At Any Age!

Article by Ron Stephens

The first time in my adult life that I really got serious about getting into shape, I was in my mid twenties. I had spent about six months or so jogging and dieting (my definition of dieting was pretty simple: you can't eat very much of anything that tastes good), and I lost about twenty pounds. It was good to have lost the weight but I still didn't feel good about the way I looked. I did not have much muscle mass at all so when I went from a hundred seventy pounds to a hundred forty five pounds I just looked like a smaller version of the pear shaped flabby guy that I was. That isn't what I wanted either. It was good to have lost the weight, but I wanted to look, you know, a little more "buff". That presented another challenge. Now I would have to lift weights and I had never done that before. The thought of buying all of the weights and putting myself through hours every day of "pumping iron" did not sound like fun to me at all. And besides that I didn't believe that I could change the shape of my body anyway. I didn't know how simple it could be to build muscle and burn fat. So for the next twenty years I just gave in to my belief system and decided to be happy with the way I looked and get on with more important things in life.

The problem was however, I never really accepted myself physically. I always wished that I could have a leaner, more proportionate shape to my body. I just honestly did not think it was possible. And you know, when you don't really like something about yourself, it shows up in subtle little ways. I didn't like being in public with my shirt off. I felt like I had been cheated physically and there was nothing I could do about it. I didn't look good (I thought) in certain clothes that were in fashion. My confidence over all was affected. Now, it wasn't like my life was falling apart or anything. I just wanted to look better in a bathing suit. I wanted to have a more "masculine" shape to my body. I wanted to be more disciplined in my eating.

One evening I was having dinner with some friends at a local restaurant. There were about eight of us sitting around the table eating and chatting. The conversation turned to discussion of a book that one of them was reading about getting physically fit and transforming your body in three months. Most everyone at the table it seemed, knew of this program but me. I asked some questions and listened to them talk about the many testimonials, before and after pictures they had seen and so on. It sounded too good to be true. Twelve weeks to transform your body?! Could that be for real?

Although I did not say much during that discussion, I listened intently. At some point during the evening I felt myself changing on the inside. I began to believe I could look the way I had always wanted to look. I decided, as we were wrapping up the evening, that I would find this book they spoke of and it would be the source of my new found hope to do something about the way I looked. Again I want to say that I was not extremely over weight. I am five feet, eight inches tall. At that time I weighed about a hundred eighty pounds. But my body fat percentage I found out when I went to the gym for the first time, was around twenty percent. The ideal percentage of body fat for a guy my age was around eight to twelve percent.

Well I went out the next day and found the book. I took it home and read it. I saw before and after pictures of men and women, many older than me, who had gone through incredible, physical transformations. And they all did it in a ninety day period! Unbelievable! Except, now it was believable for me. To make a long story a little shorter, I implemented the program, which involved eating differently and exercising and got tremendous results in ninety days. I went from a hundred eighty plus pounds and twenty percent body fat to a hundred sixty eight pounds and nine percent body fat! I was fired up! Here is the interesting part of the whole story. Ever since I was in high school, I didn't think I could look much different. For over thirty years I just accepted the false belief that I couldn't build muscle and burn fat and change the shape of my body. But once my beliefs changed, I got what I wanted in twelve weeks. Here is what I found out that made the difference for me:

What you believe is so important. I believed I couldn't do anything about the way my body looked unless I was willing to spend hours of pain and sweating in the gym for months and months. Once my belief changed, my motivation sky-rocketed. Here is how I changed my belief. And it was almost effortless! I read stories about other people in my situation. Many of them in worst shape than me. When I saw that others could do it, I began to have "hope". Hope is a powerful force my friend. But it must be based on truth. Once I saw the truth, by reading the stories of others and seeing before and after photos, hope rose up in me and I began to "see" myself with the body I wanted. I'm telling you it works. If you want anything, find out about others who have achieved it, read their stories or seek them out and talk to them. It will change your life.

It didn't take as much effort as I had previously thought. I only spent three days a week in the gym for a little less than an hour each day I was there. That was for weight training. I spent three alternating days each week at home on an exercise bike for only twenty minutes each session. Amazing! And of course I did have to change my eating habits, but I did not have to deprive myself. I just had to eat more sensibly. And let me tell you this: if you have struggled with eating right for a long time, the problem is probably not as much of an eating problem as you think. The problem is a "hope" problem. Once I had the hope, it was much easier to discipline myself to eat right. Once I had hope, it was much easier to go to the gym. It became a powerful force for change in my life and it will work for you too!

I had a partner. My wife did the program with me. She became as excited about as I did and that made it easier for me to stick to it. We did it together. If you aren't married, or if you are and your spouse doesn't share your enthusiasm that's ok. Find a partner at work, or get to know someone at the gym or hire a trainer at the gym. The power of having someone to work with you for change, is extremely helpful. You can encourage one another and keep each other accountable. If you don't have that person, that's ok too. You just have to rely on yourself a little more and be true to your vision. You can do it!My friend I want you to know this: if you have any desires in your life to change anything at all for the better, you can do it. I believe that! Whatever your situation is, someone else somewhere in this world has been in a worse situation and changed it for the better. If they can do it...you can do it. You must believe that. If you wish to change the way you look, lose weight and/or build muscle and change the shape of your body, you can. I'm not going to tell you that you have to use the same program or read the same books I read because you don't have to. There are plenty of programs and books and testimonials for you to read and follow. What I am going to tell you is that you need to find something that you can believe in. Something that sparks a flame of hope in your heart and mind. Draw strength and encouragement from other people's stories, get started on a program, stick to it, and watch your life change.

I am not a fitness instructor or a dietician. I don't own a gym. I am only involved in exercise and fitness for my own benefit. I am telling you this story for the purpose of sharing a principle that can change any area of your life. That principle is based on developing hope and a vision through studying the lives of people who have accomplished something that you want to accomplish. It is very difficult to overcome obstacles and develope hope if you don't "know" that it can be done. In that case it is probably more "fantasy" than hope. But once you see it can be done, by ordinary folks who somehow mustered up "extraordinary" desire, hope springs up in you. Now your hope is based on truth and your life can change if you really want it to.

wanna burn fat??

wanna burn fat??

Article by Michael Miller

Ok this is the deal, many people around the world search for the perfect diet but they ended gaining the double of weight they wanted to lose, this are the facts:You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight. You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself. You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu. Weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers (and Jenny Craig) usually involve slower dieting progress over a longer period of time, since such programs generally promise only 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week. Also, programs such as Jenny Craig usually involve buying special meals and/or dietary supplements during the initial phases of the program. While some people may like these types of dietary programs, we prefer a dieting plan which focuses on faster weight loss, such as the Accelerated Fat Burning Program shown below... Now you can learn the secret that anybody is talking about, learn how to lose 11 lbs in just 11 days, thats right you can star burning fat and see the amazing results every 11 days, now is up to you, learn the simple way to lose fat without starving yourself to death.Click here, learn the secret and change your life

Blood Sugar and Burning Fat – Part 2

Blood Sugar and Burning Fat - Part 2

Article by Axis Labs

In the modern day fitness industry there are some common misconceptions on the timing of food consumption to lose fat and/or gain muscle. Should you eat right before a workout? When is the best time to do cardio to burn fat? Learn valuable information by reading this article.

A very important concept to keep in mind is where you want your blood sugar to be during your workout. This is very much overlooked and is as important as anything else when it comes to proper nutrition and getting the most out of your workout routine.

Many people have the perception that you should eat before a workout to get proper energy. This is false. When you eat a meal before a workout what happens is you feel sluggish and weaker because your muscles and digestive system are competing for energy resources. You should eat 2-3 hours before starting your workout. This also makes your pre-workout supplements much more effective as it will now be the only substance in your system. Most people will ask, " Won't you be more tired since you have not eaten in hours?" Your body uses energy from food for much longer than that. This is why it is so important to not skip meals.

When the body is short of glycogen it will use two other fuels (amino acids and fats) to produce energy. Bodybuilders are typically trying to retain/spare as much protein as possible, which is why most of them avoid working out on an empty stomach. However, when the primary goal is losing fat, a few studies show that a moderate intensity workout first thing in the morning can help boost a fat burning furnace even if at a price of losing some protein for energy. A workout upon waking up is the best time to train if you are trying to lose body fat. By not eating anything and not messing with your blood sugar levels from your overnight of sleeping, you are now forcing your body to start burning your fat for energy.

The only time for a person to eat before workout would be if they have diabetes. The reason for this is because their blood sugar could get too low and can cause extreme fatigue, dizziness or can cause you to collapse. In this case I would recommend someone eat snacks before, during, and after a workout. If a diabetic wanted to exercise in the morning I would recommend trying to ingest some oatmeal or something first. Getting some carbohydrates are almost necessary if you are a diabetic and want to train after not eating all night long. A protein shake would be beneficial to go with the oatmeal. If you are not a diabetic, you have no reason to eat directly before a workout.

Bodybuilders especially should try to keep blood sugar at the right levels when they are thinking about training, as it is very important when it comes to getting the most out of busting your butt in the gym and most out of your money that you spend on bodybuilding supplements

Article by Aaron Patterson

3. Milk

Stop depriving yourself of the calcium and vitamin D that your body needs from milk to save calories. Studies show that drinking milk helps you lose more weight than simply reducing your calorie intake. In the study, milk drinkers lost 10% more weight than those who skipped milk altogether. Make sure to get your milk boost with fat free or reduced fat milk to get the best results.

4. Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Salmon, cod, tuna, and mackerel contain omega-3 fatty acids. Eating them can raise fat metabolism. This makes your body burn fat faster and lose 20% more weight.

Exercises that helps to Burn Fat Rapidly

Exercises that helps to Burn Fat Rapidly

Article by Nick Mutt

In this article we are going to discuss some of the exercises that are very helpful in loosing weight rapidly. The best exercise for fast weight loss is exercise of the cardio or aerobic variety.

Anaerobic exercise, such as strength training, lifting weights, or short bursts of intense energy do not really burn fat. They are good for other purposes but not for losing weight.

Remember the more muscle you have, the more fat your body burns because muscles consume energy. To supply those muscles with energy your body must burn fat, if you go about it in the right way.

When thinking about cardio or aerobic exercises that you can do for fast weight loss, you do not need to think only about the aerobics or the spinning class at the gym. Aerobic and cardio exercises include any exercise that moderately increases your heart rate for sustained periods of time (30 to 60 minutes).

This can include walking at a brisk pace in the neighborhood, hiking in the woods, swimming in the pool, snowshoeing in winter, and many other kinds of exercises.

The secret to fast weight loss through exercise is consistency. You eat every day, which means your body has the ingredients to produce fat on a daily basis. You must balance that out with daily exercise.

As far as the best exercise for fast weight loss, it is safe to say that it would be the exercise that you like most. If spending an hour on the elliptical machine in the gym is your favorite then that is the best exercise for fast weight loss for you. The same goes for cycling, running on the treadmill, aerobics class, walking, etc. That will help you maintain consistency with your exercise routine.

Burning Fat - You Don't Win in the First Half of the Fight So Keep Pushing

Article by Morgan Reynolds

Burning fat is a very strange thing. Is seems so easy to get it on there yet so difficult to get it to leave doesn't it? I've never been really overweight but at only 5'-10" tall being about 182 really felt bad. Nothing I tried seemed to make the fat come off.

The one thing that cracked me up was that people would say "you've really got to want it bad man" and that drove me nuts! I mean, I wanted it REALLY badly but that in itself meant and did nothing for me.

I've since learned that a better way to describe what these people were telling me would be "you've got to want it bad enough to keep going when you want to quit and push yourself to do more than you're used to doing".

I was at the gym this morning and figured I'd so 40 minutes of cardio BEFORE my workout instead of after like I usually do. I don't normally do 40 minutes but have worked up to it and this was the first 40 minute session. I'm not one of the muscleheads that are too cool for cardio. I see the value in it and as a part time cyclist, it benefits me a great deal once the snow melts and I get back on the bike in the spring.

So there I am, pushing hard and starting to bog down at about 27 minutes and I thought to myself, "MAN, there is NO way I can make it to 40 minutes if I'm tired already" when I immediately told myself that I;d never hit 40 with an attitude like that.

See I think we impose limits on ourselves psychologically that really have no meaning or value to what we can do physically. If you think you can only do 8 reps, you'll do 8...or maybe less. If you get on the treadmill and tell yourself that you can only do 30 minutes of cardio you'll do 30 minutes...or less.

So don't allow yourself to be limited like that. IF you really want to see some results and burn off some fat, the first step is going to be to ignore your self imposed limits.

You can burn fat all day long once you know how! Burning Belly Fat isn't as difficult as you think it is. Just Click Here Right Now to learn the secrets that will unlock the
